MISHAWAKA – In order to serve patients in a more collaborative and comprehensive manner, Midwest Cardiovascular Specialists has joined the St. Joseph Regional Medical Center (SJRMC) health system.
The following cardiologists became part of the St. Joseph Physician Network, a group of medical practices owned and operated by SJRMC: Farid Jalinous, Sachin Patel, William Sarnat, Ajazuddin Shaikh, Ashfaq Turk.
The newly affiliated practice, now named Midwest Cardiology, is one of the largest and most extensively trained medical practices in Michiana that consists entirely of board certified cardiologists.
“The team of cardiologists at Midwest has a reputation for being the first to introduce the latest, most advanced cardiovascular procedures, treatments and tests to patients in Michiana,” said Lori Price, administrator of the St. Joseph Physician Network.
Midwest Cardiology provides a full range of cardiovascular services, including risk assessments, stress testing, renal artery stents, vascular ultrasounds and more. The practice also participates in more national heart and cardiovascular research than any other group, individual or practice in Northern Indiana.
Services will continue to be provided at the same location, in the Medical Office Building attached to the Mishawaka hospital.
