The Merrillville-based Food Bank of Northwest Indiana is hosting its Soiree 2024 event on April 29.
The food bank will honor their health care partners at the event. It also aims to raise $100,000 to support hunger relief efforts in Lake and Porter counties.
The evening will feature live entertainment, a silent auction and themed raffles. Tastes from local chefs, restaurants and breweries will be available.
The food bank will recognize partners such as Franciscan Health, Methodist Hospital, HealthLinc, Regional Health Systems, St. Mary Medical Center, Community HealthNet, and Northwest Indiana Community Action during the event. To date, $36,000 has been donated in support of hunger relief.
The Soiree 2024 will be from 6 to 9 p.m. April 29 at the food bank in Merrillville. More information about the event is available here.
The Food Bank of Northwest Indiana was founded in 1982. The nonprofit organization distributes food for about 6 million meals annually to kids, adults and seniors in Lake and Porter counties. The Food Bank of Northwest Indiana is a member of Feeding America, a nationwide domestic hunger-relief organization and network of 200 food banks across the country.
