MISHAWAKA – North American Composites Co., a division of Interplastic Corp., has announced it will locate its Midwestern headquarters in Mishawaka. Work has begun on a 50,000-square-foot building it acquired on 12th Street. The company, which is based in Minnesota, will spend $600,000 on the building and an additional $650,000 on equipment. MISHAWAKA – Golden Corral has begun work on a new restaurant in Mishawaka. Co-owner Pam Zahrt said the restaurant will have between 125 to 150 employees when it opens in late November or early December. The restaurant will be located at the corner of Douglas and Main streets.    

GARY – The expansion of the Kirk Yard in Gary has been scaled back by Canadian National Railway Co. The publication announced its 40th annual list of the nation’s largest black-owned companies. In all, 230 companies were included in seven categories.
