Eight Indiana businesses are ranked among the 100 Healthiest Employers for 2018.
The Indiana businesses and their position on the list include:

- 15. Monarch Beverage, Indianapolis
- 22. Witham Health Services, Lebanon
- 31. IMMI, Westfield
- 34. Beacon Health System, South Bend
- 54. CNO Financial Group, Carmel
- 60. Toyota Motor Manufacturing Indiana, Princeton
- 95. IU Health, Bloomington
Health insurance giant Minnesota-based UnitedHealthcare topped the 2018 rankings.
The Healthiest Employers rankings began in 2014. The designation recognizes organizations committed to creating a healthy workplace.
There are 8,000 participating employers in the Healthiest Employers rankings.
Companies that want to be considered for the rankings must complete an assessment regarding how their organization views wellness. Six areas examined include leadership commitment, foundational components, communication and marketing, programming and interventions, reporting and analytics and strategic planning.
The categories, scoring, and benchmarking were formed with the help of a national, non-biased group of representatives from the academic, medical, wellness and business communities.
The assessment includes more than 60 scored questions with a corresponding point value for each answer. The questions contain more than 600 data points for scoring and benchmarking.
Once an assessment is finished, employers are scored with the Healthiest Employer Index. The benchmark score ranks an organization based on their individual answers.
