Community Garden Volunteer Opportunity
Join United Way of LaPorte County in the LaPorte Community Garden (Corner of Jefferson and Jackson Street in LaPorte, Indiana) from 10am-Noon as we recycle the bricks in the garden space. These bricks will be used for an artistic sculpture in the garden!
LaPorte County LOCAL Food Drive
The food pantries of our local Salvation Armies are dangerously low on non-perishable food items, and we need your help to replenish them. Help us re-stock their shelves by participating in our non-perishable food drive. Simply collect food items throughout the week of August 18th-21st for pick up on Friday, August 22nd. You can collect food at your place of employment, school, place of worship, or other community location and we will arrange for pick up. Call our office at 219-210-3534 for more information!
