Bringing Children Hope names CEO

Valparaiso-based Bringing Children Hope recently announced the appointment of Craig Freyenberger as its new chief executive officer.

In his new role, Freyenberger will oversee Bringing Children Hope’s U.S.-based and international programs. The nonprofit group is dedicated to strengthening families and providing Christ-centered care to vulnerable children. Freyenberger will oversee the organization’s family-based care initiatives, trauma-informed training and childcare across seven countries. He will also lead strategic development, donor engagement and local outreach.

Freyenberger has served Bringing Children Hope for over a decade in leadership roles. Most recently, he guided the organization as interim CEO. His appointment follows a period of growth locally and abroad.

“Under Craig’s leadership, Bringing Children Hope has a unified staff working together to help children and families in need around the world,” said Pastor Todd Baker, board chairman, in a press release.

Reflecting on his appointment, Freyenberger said, “It is an honor to serve in this new capacity. I believe deeply in the mission of Bringing Children Hope and am passionate about sharing the love of Jesus through the power of family.”

Founded in 1955, Bringing Children Hope has evolved from traditional group homes to a family-based, global ministry focused on preserving, strengthening and restoring families.
