MICHIGAN CITY – Dennis Hirsch, the owner of Hirsch Ford Lincoln Mercury in Michigan City, is retiring after 50 years with the dealership that was once operated by his father.

Hirsch is stepping away from the dealership on Tuesday, May 1. He has sold his dealership to Kim Sauers of LaPorte, who operates a Ford dealership there.

Joe Hirsch bought the dealership in 1968.
