WESTVILLE – Purdue University Northwest has been named to the 2017 Military Friendly Schools list as compiled by Victory Media Inc. The list honors the nation’s top schools that welcome America’s military service members, veterans and spouses as students and help to ensure their success on campus.
PNW is one of more than 1,200 institutions earning the Military Friendly® School designation. More than 8,000 schools nationwide were evaluated using criteria that includes retention, persistence and graduation rates, job placement success, loan repayment and loan default rates for all students and specifically, veterans.
The complete list of 2017 Military Friendly® Schools will be featured in the annual Guide to Military Friendly Schools, special education issues of “G .I. Jobs” and “Military Spouse Magazine” and on militaryfriendly.com/.
PNW opportunities for Veterans
Purdue University North Central and Purdue University Calumet each previously earned the Military Friendly® designation prior to unifying to become Purdue University Northwest.
Through the PNW Veterans Services program, veterans have a community of university personnel, students and community agencies available to provide individual support and services to increase the likelihood of veterans and student service members achieving their educational goals.
