The South Shore Convention and Visitors Authority will host its annual Partnership Summit for the hospitality industry on Nov. 15.

The SSCVA partners with those who own or manage attractions, accommodations, restaurants, small shops, cities and towns, or breweries and wineries to market their businesses to the 6.5 million visitors who visit the Region.

“The future is bright for positive economic growth opportunities in Northwest Indiana,” said David Uran, president and CEO of the SSCVA, in a press release. “We welcome and encourage all commercial businesses to attend our annual partnership summit.”

The goal of the event is to increase tourism by working together.

“All businesses can benefit because not only do visitors enjoy all the attractions and amenities the region has to offer, but so do our local residents,” Uran said.

The event's topics will include a reflection on 2023 and an overview of 2024 expectations.

“We at Miller Pizza Co. are very excited to attend this event,” owner Elsie Goldberg said. “We learned so much last year to grow our business and can't wait to see what new and exciting things the South Shore CVA Partnership Summit has to offer this year!”

Participants can choose from two sessions: 9 to 11:30 a.m. or 2 to 4:40 p.m. Nov. 15 at the Indiana Welcome Center, 7770 Corinne Dr., Hammond. Register for one of the free sessions here.
