Purdue, JRS Mar/Com to offer business series

Registration is open for Purdue Extension’s upcoming Digital Ready Businesses workshop series.

The series is designed to help Indiana small businesses build or enhance their online presence. It aims to provide tools for entrepreneurs looking to sharpen their digital marketing skills. The workshops will feature guidance from Crown Point-based JRS Mar/Com, a digital marketing agency.

Joseph Skibbie, JRS Mar/Com founder, will lead the training alongside Lake and La Porte County Extension educators. Skibbie and his team have experience in digital strategy and marketing communications, offering participants both education and real-world insight.

“These sessions combine elements from our well-established Digital Ready Business signature program with live technical assistance from a leader in the online marketing industry,” said Daniel Walker, Purdue Extension Community Development regional educator, in a press release.

Sessions include:

  • May 8 – Claiming Your Online Turf for Small Businesses: Learn how to establish a virtual identity across platforms and walk through setting up a business online.
  • May 15 – Social Media for Your Small Business: Explore the pros, cons and audiences of major social platforms, followed by a hands-on posting workshop.
  • May 22 – Evaluating Your Online Marketing Effectiveness: Understand how to interpret analytics and campaign performance to measure ROI and improve strategy.
