Several companies that serve Northwest Indiana were included in “TIME Magazine's” America's Best Mid-Sized Companies list.
NiSource, Old National Bank and First Merchants Bank were listed.

TIME partnered with Statista to generate the list of 500 companies. Here are the Indiana companies and their rankings:

- No. 133: Simon: Property Group
- No. 143: Kimball Electronics
- No. 286: NiSource
- No. 331: Old National Bank
- No. 342: Shoe Carnival
- No. 405: Vera Bradley
- No. 418: First Merchants
- No. 459: OneMain Financial
The list is compiled of U.S.-based companies that generate between $100 million and $10 billion in revenue in the most recent full year. Companies were scored based on revenue growth, employee satisfaction and sustainability transparency.
