Chancellor Kenneth Holford of Purdue University Northwest will be the guest speaker at the Crown Point Rotary Club's Sept. 4 meeting.

Holford, who has been at PNW for more than 20 years, took the leadership position on Jan. 8. The club chose him to speak because of his commitment to excellence in academics, workforce development and community involvement, which aligns with the club's mission.

Holford also serves on several community boards: The Shirley Heinz Land Trust and the La Porte County Symphony Orchestra.

The club invites the public to join members at 12:10 p.m. Sept. 4 at Youche Country Club, 2301 W. 129th Place, Crown Point. To RSVP, contact Joseph Skibbie at jskibbie@jrsmarcom.com.
