The Legacy Foundation will host regional experts during Futurecast: 2024 Economic Outlook.
The event will feature a discussion on the economic future of the communities in Lake, Porter, Jasper and Newton counties.
Fore more than 50 years, the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University has forecasted the economic outlook of the nation, Indiana and metropolitan regions. The school's annual tour stops in Merrillville. There, panelists will share their insight on how business and decisions about public policy will be influenced by the economic environment.
Doors to the annual event open at 11:30 a.m. Nov. 17, with a lunch served at noon at Avalon Manor, 3550 E. Lincoln Highway, in Merrillville.
Cynthia Roberts, dean of the School of Business and Economics at Indiana University Northwest will moderate the discussion.
Speakers include:
- Carol Rogers, director of the Indiana Business Research Center Kelley School of Business at Indiana University
- Kristoph Kleiner, associate professor of finance at the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University
- Phil Powell, executive director of the Indiana Business Research Center and associate clinical professor of business economics and public policy at the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University
- Micah Pollak, associate professor of economics at Indiana University
