Emma Hutchinson joins Regional Development Co. staff

The Valparaiso-based Regional Development Co. recently hired Emma Hutchinson as marketing and business development manager.

Hutchinson is a recent graduate of Columbia University, where she earned a degree in journalism. In her new role, Hutchinson will oversee social media and website matters, marketing and community involvement activities,

Erica Dombey, RDC president, expressed excitement about Hutchinson joining the team as a full-time staff member.

“She brings experience in video and digital marketing from her education and prior internships,” Dombey said in a press release. “Pair that with an outgoing and positive personality, and I am sure she will grow our relationships with borrowers, lenders, referral sources and communities.”

Hutchison’s work can already be seen on the company’s social media channels, LinkedIn and Facebook. She has showcased the RDC staff, board members and borrowers. Posts also include updates and facts about the 504 loan program, current interest rates and new loan funding.

The Regional Development Co. serves Indiana and select counties in Illinois. It is a nonprofit organization and Certified Development Company. The Regional Development Co. administers the U.S. Small Business Administration’s 504 Loan Program to promote small business growth.
