Matt Doyle is the new president and CEO of Methodist Hospitals.
Doyle replaced Ray Grady, who recently retired.
Doyle rejoined Methodist Hospitals on Oct. 1. as senior vice president and chief financial officer from Mt. Sinai Hospital in Chicago, where he served as chief financial officer. Doyle first joined Methodist in February 2007 as corporate controller and in 2011 was named vice president and CFO.
“As the son of a nurse, I have had a life-long respect for people who devote their lives to caring for others, and I am proud to be able to continue to serve the communities of Northwest Indiana,” Doyle said.
Robert Johnson, chairman of the Methodist Hospitals board of directors, is confident Doyle is the right leader for the organization.
“We are pleased that Matt has accepted the position of president and CEO,” he said. “The board has admired his leadership during this COVID-19 pandemic, and we have tremendous confidence in his ability to navigate Methodist Hospitals through this crisis and to successfully move the organization forward.”
Doyle has a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting and finance from Franklin University and is a Certified Public Accountant as well as a member of the Healthcare Finance Management Association.
Methodist Hospitals operates two full-service acute care facilities in Gary and Merrillville as well as several medical and physician offices around Northwest Indiana.
