LaPORTE – The LaPorte Hospital Foundation hosted its 25th annual Healthcare Scholarship Golf Tournament.
A full field of 144 golfers and countless volunteers came out on June 13 at Briar Leaf Golf Club in LaPorte. Event proceeds totaled over $40,000. These proceeds help fund healthcare scholarships for the communities served by Indiana University Health LaPorte Hospital.
Since 1983, 268 local students pursuing healthcare degrees have been awarded over $534,250. Many of these students have returned to work in the hospital’s regional service area.
Several exclusive silent and live auction items were bid on, including exclusive golf packages, Indianapolis Colts tickets, Chicago Bears tickets, LaPorte Little Theatre and dinner package, Florida vacations, Chicago Cubs tickets, Traverse City getaway trip and much more.
