Franciscan Health Lafayette East Celebrates West Tower CompletionFranciscan Health Lafayette East celebrated its new West Tower with a blessing and dedication at the hospital at 1701 South Creasy Lane in Lafayette. Following the ceremony, open houses for employees, volunteers, physicians and community members were held.

“When we gathered here almost two years ago, we were standing in a parking lot looking at an empty space in front of the hospital. Now, here we are gathered to celebrate the completion of our new West Tower,” said Terry Wilson, president and CEO of Franciscan Health Western Indiana.

The project was announced in April 2016 and costs around $60 million.

The West Tower will have 106,000 square feet of space and will include 52 new patient beds. The following services will be relocated or expanded include:

* First floor: Advanced Wound Healing Center, expanded Outpatient Center to include a new endoscopy procedure room and prep recovery room, a new Cancer Center, Sleep Disorders Center/Neurodiagnostics and Franciscan Physician Network Oncology & Hematology Specialists
* Second floor: Inpatient Rehabilitation, Medical/Surgical overflow and Palliative Care suites
* Third floor: Inpatient Medical/Surgical Unit
