Lakeshore Bone & Joint Institute recently opened a new Orthopedic Urgent Care center in Chesterton.

With the new Chesterton location, Lakeshore Bone & Joint Institute will have four urgent care facilities throughout Northwest Indiana.

“We are excited to offer our fourth urgent care center to the residents of Northwest Indiana,” said Dale Ingram, CEO in a press release.

Ingram said the centers offer immediate access to orthopedic specialists at the cost of an office visit.

“We routinely hear from patients about how much they appreciate being able to quickly receive care for an injury or pain,” Ingram said.

The medical staff at Lakeshore Bone & Joint Institute’s urgent care centers treat hundreds of patients each month. At the locations, specialists evaluate and treat ligament, tendon, bone and muscle injuries from the neck down. The goal is to have patients seen within an hour.

Lakeshore Bone & Joint Institute’s newest Orthopedic Urgent Care center is at 601 Gateway Boulevard in Chesterton. The medical practice also operates Orthopedic Urgent Care facilities in Schererville, Portage and Crown Point. Lakeshore Bone & Joint Institute was founded over 50 years ago when Dr. Albin Jahns opened a practice in Gary.
