A Free Day of Pampering for Women who are Cancer Survivors
Methodist Hospitals will host their Annual Spring Spa Day to provide women who are being treated for cancer or who have survived cancer a day of pampering, empowerment and health education. The event will be held at the Southlake Campus in Merrillville, Indiana.
In previous years this event has been for women who have survived breast cancer. This year’s event has been extended to include all women who are currently being treated for any type of cancer or are cancer survivors. The following activities will be offered at this year’s event:
- Healthy Eating and Cooking Demonstration with a focus on cancer fighting foods
- Paraffin Hand Treatment
- Qigong Group Sessions
- Chair Massages
- Bone Density Screenings
- Reiki Group Sessions
- Art display from area high school students with a focus on cancer survivorship
The event will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2013 from 9 a.m. to noon.
