Spring is all about new beginnings, and Gander Mountain is into the spirit of the season, celebrating a fresh new look for outdoors enthusiasts in Indiana this weekend with the grand opening of its newly-remodeled Merrillville store.

The Merrillville Gander Mountain store is located at 1630 Southlake Mall in Merrillville, just off I-65 at exit 253. The three-day Grand Opening weekend is March 21-23. Special events and giveaways include:

*  Nick Mundt, host of Michael Waddell’s Bone Collector on the Outdoor Channel will appear Friday from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
*  Jacob and Chase Landry, stars of History Channel’s Swamp People will appear Saturday from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m.
*  There will be a Daisy Inflatable Shooting Range on-site both Saturday and Sunday.
*  The first 100 customers through the door at the Merrillville location on Friday, Saturday and Sunday will receive a free $10 Gander Mountain gift card.
*  The first 250 customers to make a purchase at the Merrillville location on Friday, Saturday and Sunday will receive a free Gander Mountain gift.
*  Customers can register for a chance to win a $1,000 Gander Mountain gift card at the Merrillville location.
