Seymour-based Ruler Foods recently celebrated the opening of their renovated store in Merrillville.

Ruler Foods hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony and offered prizes and special deals for shoppers. During the celebration, community members had the opportunity to explore the new layout and enhanced product assortment. The store distributed 100 gift cards, each worth up to $500.

The Merrillville Ruler Foods store first opened in December 2015. The newly remodeled store features updates to the layout, store décor, display fixtures and exterior signage. Shoppers will also find an expanded assortment of produce, seafood, dairy, packaged deli items and seasonal selections. 

“The last few months of renovations have led to many improvements in our store that were developed with our Merrillville shoppers top of mind,” said Bethany Huber, Ruler Foods customer communications manager, in a press release.

Ruler Foods is a part of The Kroger Co. Ruler Foods has locations in Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky, Missouri, Ohio and Tennessee.
