The Northwest Indiana Small Business Development Center is looking for nominations for its 35th Entrepreneurial Excellence Awards.
The NW-ISBDC's E-Day Awards spotlight small business leaders who are making a difference and driving economic development in their communities.
“Our team is honored to carry on the tradition of celebrating entrepreneurs and advocates for 35 years,” said NW-ISBDC Regional Director Lorri Feldt in a press release. “Their stories and paths to business ownership are always inspirational, and we look forward to welcoming our next class of honorees.”
Award categories include:
- Small business person of the year
- Entrepreneurial success
- Small business exporter
- Young entrepreneur
- Veteran-owned small business
- Family-owned business
- Emerging small business
- Small business advocate
- Advocate for youth entrepreneurship
Eligible small businesses include those with a three-year record of growth and potential for more. Entrepreneurs must do business in Lake, Porter, La Porte, Jasper, Starke, Pulaski and Newton counties. Nominations are due Aug. 25 by downloading the nomination packet here.
Winners will be honored at E-Day on Nov. 12 at the Avalon Manor in Merrillville. Sponsorships are still available.
The NW-ISBDC guides small business owners with no-cost assistance, and is funded by the Small Business Administration, the State of Indiana and other partners through a cooperative agreement. Purdue University Northwest, 9800 Connecticut Drive, Crown Point, is the regional host of the NW-ISBDC.
