Patrick Industries Inc. is expanding its footprint in Michigan.

The Elkhart-based maker and distributor of component products and building products used by the recreational, home furnishing and construction industries, announced Aug. 3 it completed its purchase of Pontiac, Mich. based Inland Plywood Co., a supplier, laminator, and wholesale distributor of treated, untreated, and laminated plywood, medium density overlay panels, and other products, used in similar markets now served by Patrick.

Inland also has a facility in Cocoa, Fla. The company’s fiscal 2019 revenue was estimated at $60 million, Patrick Industries said.

Andy Nemeth, president and CEO of Patrick, said he looks forward to partnering with Inland.

“Inland's integrated lean supply chain model offers its customers a convenient, one-stop solution for value-added plywood and specialty panel sourcing, warehousing and inventory management, customer service, and logistics,” he said. “In addition, the deep industry knowledge and relationships that Inland's team has developed coupled with their entrepreneurial spirit are an excellent fit with our culture.”

The deal also includes acquisition of Inland’s working capital, machinery and equipment, and real estate. Patrick will continue to operate Inland as a stand-alone operation under its brand name in its existing facilities.
