2023 Best Places to Work in Indiana

The Indiana Chamber of Commerce recognized 125 Hoosier businesses on its 2023 Best Places to Work in Indiana list. Seven have offices in Northwest and North Central Indiana.

“The Best Places to Work in Indiana program is so popular because it not only showcases the state’s top workplaces but also includes an employee survey that helps all applicants improve their culture and productivity,” said Indiana Chamber President and CEO Kevin Brinegar in a press release.

Winners were determined by employer reports and employee surveys by the Workforce Research Group. Companies that participated in the program will receive an in-depth evaluation of their workplaces as reported by their employees in the survey.

This year, 40 businesses not featured last year made the list, which is in its 18th year.

“One exciting point is that more small companies made the list this year than ever before,” he said. “With small businesses being the backbone of our state’s economy, it’s encouraging to see so many putting an emphasis on culture. This has a profound impact on the communities they serve.”

Winners, which were determined by employer reports and employee surveys by the Workforce Research Group, will find out their rankings at an awards event May 10 at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis.

Winners were selected in four categories. Out-of-state parent companies were allowed to participate if at least 15 full-time employees work in Indiana.

Here are the winners from the Northwest and North Central Indiana regions:

Small companies

Between 15 and 74 U.S. employees

Medium Companies

Between 75 and 249 U.S. employees

  • Gibson, an insurance and benefits adviser with an office in South Bend

Large Companies

Between 250 and 999 U.S. employees

Major Companies

With 1,000 or more U.S. employees
