HAMMOND – More than a dozen South Shore attractions will gather for the inaugural Explore the South Shore event from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, May 14, at the Indiana Welcome Center.

            The Indiana Welcome Center is at the Interstate 94 and Kennedy Avenue interchange in Hammond.

            The first 500 families attending will receive a “passport for savings” of coupons and discounts throughout the region. There also will be giveaways and chances to win other items.
