The Regional Development Co. recently elected its board offers for 2021 and honored its top referring lenders for 2020.
Mike Riehle, president of chamber services with the La Porte Economic Advancement Partnership, was named to the RDC’s board of directors. The RDC administers the U.S. Small Business Administration’s 504 Loan Program in Indiana and the greater Chicago metropolitan area.
The RDC’s board officers for 2021 include: Michael Schneider, First Financial Bank, chair; Matt Saltanovitz, Indiana Economic Development Corp., vice chair; Scott Casbon, First Merchants Bank, secretary; John Matthiesen, retired from CliftonLarsonAllen LLP, treasurer; and Rex Richards, Valparaiso Chamber of Commerce / Valparaiso Economic Development Corp., past chair.
The RDC’s top referring lenders also recently were recognized.
Centier Bank was named Bank of the Year Award with 15 loans and $11.6 million in referral dollars. The 2020 Lender of the Year awards were presented to Tim Spoelman of Centier Bank who referred $4.2 million in SBA loan dollars; and Chris Chatfield, First Merchants Bank; Heather Thompson, Old National Bank; Greg Gottschalk, Centier Bank; and Tim Spoelman, Centier Bank, for each referring three loans to the RDC.
Lenders inducted into the Millionaires Club, which recognizes lenders who have referred loans of $1 million or more, included Dan Shelby, Peoples Bank; Greg Gottschalk, Centier Bank; Pat McGinley, Teacher’s Credit Union; Lisa Misch, 1st Source Bank; Tim Warner, Centier Bank; and Tim Spoelman, Centier Bank.
