Several businesses from Northwest Indiana and the South Bend-Elkhart areas are ranked among the best places to work in Indiana for 2021.
The annual ranking was revealed May 6 by the Indiana Chamber of Commerce.
The top company in the small company category (between 15 and 74 employees) was JA Benefits LLC, a Bedford-based employee benefits company.
American College of Education, a private, for-profit online college in Indianapolis was the medium category (between 75 and 249 employees) winner.
Onebridge, a business intelligence and data analytics consulting firm headquartered in Indianapolis – won the large category (between 250 and 999 employees)
Tech giant Microsoft, with an office in Indianapolis – was the major company category (1,000 or more employees) winner.
“It’s a pleasure to showcase these companies and the astounding examples they are setting as desirable workplace cultures in the face of all the unique challenges of the past year,” said Indiana Chamber President and CEO Kevin Brinegar. “They each serve not only their staffs and customers very well, but also their communities and the state’s economy.”
Winning companies ranged in employee count (at the time of application) between 15 to more than 2,300. Out-of-state parent companies were eligible to participate if at least 15 full-time employees were in Indiana.
Organizations that have displayed sustained excellence during the program’s history were also awarded Best Places to Work in Indiana Hall of Fame and Pinnacle designations.
Hall of Fame companies have been named a Best Place to Work in Indiana at least 60% of the time in the program’s history. Two companies – Edward Jones and Katz, Sapper & Miller – have made the Best Places to Work list all 16 years of the program.
The Pinnacle designation is for businesses that have finished first in their category three or more times in a five-year period. More information about the Best Places to Work companies is available online at www.bizvoicemagazine.com.
All companies that participated in the 2021 Best Places to Work program receive an in-depth evaluation identifying strengths and weaknesses according to their employees.
