Results of 6th Annual Blood Drive Challenge

SOUTH BEND/ELKHART — For the sixth year in a row, associates of the Michiana offices of Old National Bank and Kruggel Lawton CPAs squared off to see who could donate the most blood. At a wrap-up party held on November 6, Kevin Kruggel, a partner at Kruggel Lawton CPAs announced that Old National Bank was the winner of the 2013 Blood Drive Challenge with 35 pints of blood donated and 43.75 percent participation. Kruggel Lawton was not far behind with 22 pints of blood donated and 42.31 percent participation.

During the twelve week challenge, associates and their family members were encouraged to make a donation at any South Bend Medical Foundation blood donor center or other area blood bank. To further encourage participation, employees at the Niles, Mich., Old National Banking Center arranged for a Blood Mobile to be on location for a day.

  1. Congratulations to the winner! Not only did they reach those numbers, but they’ve helped save lives when we usually find fewer people donating. I’d consider both sides to be winners, as are the people who will be on the receiving end of their selfless gift.
