HOBART — Comcast will open its first Xfinity retail store in Northwest Indiana later this year in Hobart. To be located at 3199 East Lincoln Highway, the new 6,000 square-foot space is designed to give visitors real life, hands-on demonstrations of Xfinity’s range of products and services, from cable TV, high-speed Internet and home phone services, to the company’s home security and home automation platform, Xfinity Home. The store also features iPads and other mobile devices visitors can use to explore Xfinity’s Android and iOS apps. Apps range from Xfinity TV Go, which allows customers to watch live TV, stream On Demand content and download movies and TV shows, to Xfinity Home, which allows customers to manage and monitor their homes while on the go.
