MERRILLVILLE – Matt Lake has been named executive director of the Merrillville Stormwater Management Board.
Lake has provided consulting service with Christopher B. Burke Engineering since 2005, specializing in water resources and pollution control. Before that, Lake was with the Indiana Department of Natural Resources in the Division of Soil Conservation.
He is a graduate of Michigan State University and received a master’s degree from Governor’s State University in Illinois.
Lake will be responsible for managing Merrillville’s storm water program as the Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System coordinator to make sure the town is in compliance with federal water discharge regulations.
