A California firm is proposing building a facility in Gary that will convert solid waste into low-carbon, renewable transportation fuel. Fulcrum BioEnergy Inc. of Pleasanton, Calif., announced Dec. 13 it had selected Gary for its Centerpoint BioFuels Plant.
