VALPARAISO – Family Express has named Ruth Keefover as its Social Media Community Manager. She will be responsible for managing the daily functions of social media, which include Family Express’ social space, blogging, community development, as well as being connected with the broader social media world. SOUTH BEND – 1ST Source Bank will donate $50,000 to support entrepreneurship and venture development in Northwest Indiana. The donation to Elevate Ventures, an Indiana venture development organization, will help provide rigorous business analysis and advisory service to area entrepreneurs. WEST LAFAYETTE – Purdue University’s Krannert School of Management will host 28 veterans in its Entrepreneurship Boot Camp for Veterans with Disabilities. Purdue is one of eight schools around the country using the boot camp to teach veterans how to start their own business. The program focuses on a self-study session; an on-campus residency program;
GARY – Wright Alcorn has been named vice president of operations at Methodist Hospitals in Gary. He has been interim vice president since February. He will be responsible for the Centers of Excellence, clinical ancillary departments and other area. Previously, he was with Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta and at Methodist Hospital in Houston, Texas.
