VALPARAISO – Retailers Gordman’s and Hobby Lobby have announced plans to build in Valparaiso in the Vale Shopping Center on the city’s north side. Gordman’s plans a 50,000-square-foot store with construction to begin at the end of January, and Hobby Lobby plans a 57,000-square-foot store with construction to begin in the spring.

MUNSTER – Citizens Financial Bank’s board of directors has announced a quarterly dividend of one cent per share, payable on Jan. 25 to shareholders of record on Jan. 4. The dividend was unchanged from the third quarter. CFS Bancorp, the parent company for Citizens Financial, has assets of $1.1 billion.
CHESTERTON – Urschel Laboratories will move headquarters and manufacturing from Valparaiso to Coffee Creek Center in Chesterton. The move to a 160-acre campus includes a 350,000-square-foot manufacturing building. Urschel manufactures a variety of cutting devices for the food processing industry around the world.
