HAMMOND – The sculptors responsible for the creation of the Flick statue, as well as the Orville Redenbacher statue in Valparaiso, will present other works while educating visitors on the bronze statue making process during the Explore the South Shore: Art & Culture event at the Indiana Welcome Center from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 26.

Oscar Leon, an artist with Timeless Creations of Highwood, Ill., plans to work on the clay mold of Flick’s head for the flagpole statue planned for the Indiana Welcome Center. The event is free.
