MERRILLVILLE – Muller Acura of Merrillville has opened on U.S. 30. Manager Glenn Muller said the dealership sells both new and used cars. The new $10 million dealership has 30,000 square feet and sits on eight acres. Muller Acura was founded by Muller’s father, Mike, 40 years ago.
GARY – U.S. Steel Corp.’s Gary Works has been named in a lawsuit filed by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency for violating provision of the Clean Art Act. The lawsuit claims an upgrade in the No. 4 blast furnace at the mill in 1990 increased the emissions of nitric oxide, sulfur dioxide and particulate matter.
MERRILLVILLE – Northern Indiana Public Service Company has named the recipients of its first Luminary Awards, which were created as part of the utility’s 100th anniversary.
