HAMMOND – Leon’s Triathlon, held June 5 in Hammond, will be featured on Comcast SportsNet in Chicago, Philadelphia, New England, Mid-Atlantic (Washington, Baltimore and Delaware) and in the California Bay area.
More than 500 athletes competed in Leon’s Triathlon, which includes swimming, biking and running through parts of Wolf Lake Memorial Park and the city of Hammond.
The Comcast show is coordinated by the South Shore CVA, organizers of Leon’s Triathlon and Comcast. Among the attractions from Northwest Indiana that will be featured in the program will be Lost Marsh and the Pavilion, Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore, Hammond Marina, the Pierogi Fest, Festival of the Lakes and Gary’s South Shore Air Show.
The show will air in more than 22 million homes, including 4.7 million in Illinois, Indiana and Iowa. Show times are 4:30 p.m. Sunday, June 26; 7 p.m. Saturday, July 2; 2 p.m. Monday, July 4; 11 p.m. Wednesday, July 6; 1:30 p.m. Friday, July 8; 9 p.m. Saturday, July 9; and 1:30 p.m., Monday, July 11.
