GARY – The Independent Basketball Association spring playoffs will begin Friday at the Genesis Convention Center in Gary. The seven playoff games and other playoff activities will continue through the weekend with the championship set for Sunday, June 24.
This is the first time in league history all playoff games have been held in one location.
“Knowing the history of basketball at the Genesis Center back in the glory days, I am truly excited to see the return of great basketball there,” said Barry Bradford, chairman of the IBA. Tickets are $10 a game; a weekend pass is $25.
Teams competing for the league title include the Los Angeles Lightning, Albany Legends, Kankakee County Soldiers, Chicago Redline, Gary Splash, Kenosha Ballers, Lansing Capitals and Lake County Stars.
