Haire Group to distribute German machinery

Haire Group is partnering with BAHMÜLLER, a German manufacturer, to bring more equipment options to customers.

Merrillville-based Haire Group has spent 50 years connecting customers with equipment for the corrugated packaging industry. The strategic alliance will bring BAHMÜLLER's advanced machinery to North America.

“Haire has spent 50 years building relationships, understanding the challenges our customers face, and helping them make smart investments in their operations,” said Keith Umlauf, co-owner and chief operating officer of Haire Group, in a press release. “Our experience in this industry puts us in a unique position to recognize technologies that can make a meaningful difference for our customers.”

He also said that BAHMÜLLER's expertise is a “natural fit” to expand Haire Group's portfolio of advanced manufacturing solutions. Haire Group will offer its customers BAHMÜLLER's products, including special glues and sealing equipment, sorting and bundling solutions, and other e-commerce packaging technologies.

“Being an industry leader means more than having great machinery to offer,” Umlauf said. “It means understanding where the industry is headed and making sure our customers have the technology, expertise and support they need to stay competitive.”

Haire Group sells products that helps manufacturers produce boxes for complex products and other corrugated packaging designs. They also offer emergency services and support for machines sold by Haire.

Danny Lopez, Haire Group's vice president of new machinery sales, will lead the initiative. BAHMÜLLER's product rollout will initially focuses on the East and West Coasts and then more broadly in January throughout North America.

Haire Group was founded in 1976 by Tom Haire. Jeff Quinn and Umlauf bought the company in 2022. Quinn started working for Haire Group in 1986 and Umlauf in 1989. Both worked their way up to leadership positions.
