Starbucks will soon be brewing coffee at their second location in Schererville.
The coffee chain recently leased a space at 1902 US Highway 41, adjacent to Basecamp Fitness.
Crown Point-based Latitude Commercial represented the landlord in the lease negotiations.
“Starbucks had been looking for some time for an additional Schererville location, and this works perfectly for them,” said Brett McDermott, Latitude Commercial co-founder and senior vice president, in a press release. “The unit was previously occupied by a coffee user, so they were able to utilize some of the infrastructure. They are a great fit for the already strong tenant mix in the center and now brings it to 100% occupied.”
Latitude Commercial is a commercial real estate brokerage and property management firm. The company serves Northwest Indiana and the Chicagoland area. Latitude Commercial was founded by Aaron and Brett McDermott.
Starbucks opened its first store in 1971 at Pike Place Market in Seattle. The company plans to have 45,000 stores by the end of 2025. Starbucks serves 300 million customers per week.
