Chipotle opened their new location in Chesterton on Dec. 4.
The restaurant at 2700 Matson Dr. features the Chipotlane, a drive-thru pickup lane that allows guests to pick up digital orders without leaving their cars.
Customers of the location can try Chipotle’s fan-favorite carne asada for a limited time. The restaurant is open everyday from 10:45 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Each Chipotle location employs about 25 people. The restaurant in Chesterton is currently hiring. The company offers a debt-free college program, bonuses and access to mental health care for employees and their families.
Chipotle promotes careers with the slogan “Where work is like a burrito. Well-rounded and full of your favorite things.”
The company has opened over 250 new restaurants this year. They are on track to create more than 7,000 new jobs.
“Chipotle is a people and food company and to continue serving exceptional food, we need exceptional people to grow with us,” said Scott Boatwright, chief operating officer, on the company’s website. “We are looking to cultivate new culinary driven talent and develop them into world-class operators to support our future growth plans.”
Chesterton residents can also set up fundraisers through Chipotle to benefit local causes. Nationwide, Chipotle has hosted over 342,000 fundraisers, raising $95 million.
Chipotle has 48 locations in Indiana.
