HealthLinc celebrated the grand opening of its new Michigan City health center on April 2.
More than 100 people were on hand for the event, including Michigan City Mayor Angie Nelson Deuitch; Michigan City City Council members Greg Coulter and Nancy Moldenhauer; La Porte City Council member Mike Rosenbaum; and State Rep. Pat Boy and Indiana Sen. Ed Charbonneau.
“The new HealthLinc Michigan City clinic is a shining example of our commitment to providing exceptional health care to our communities,” said Melissa Mitchell, HealthLinc CEO, in a press release. “The new clinic allows us to expand our reach and increase accessibility and services.”
Guests toured the 39,000-square-foot facility at 200 Alfred St. It includes 33 exam rooms, two rooms for procedures and 12 rooms dedicated to dental procedures. Sixteen providers are listed at this location, which is open Monday through Saturday.
HealthLinc emphasizes preventative services and education. It also plans to partner with Ivy Tech to create a learning lab for students.
