Franciscan Alliance is partnering with Millennium Physician Group to make healthcare more accessible and affordable for patients.

The Florida-based healthcare group focuses on the importance of primary and coordinated care. It promises an “exceptional patient experience” every time.

Physicians will remain members of the Franciscan Alliance physician network, but will gain access to Millennium Physician Group's resources designed to reduce administrative tasks through technology.

Kevin Leahy, president and chief executive officer of Franciscan Alliance, said the partnership will help grow the healthcare system during its next 150 years of serving patients.

“Our mission has always been to meet people where they are and provide compassionate, high-quality care to the communities we serve,” said Leahy in a press release. “By combining our trusted community presence with Millennium's proven expertise in value-based care, we are strengthening our ability to expand access, enhance quality and deliver more affordable healthcare for generations to come.”

Both organizations share a commitment to community and value-based care.

Fort Myers, Florida-based Millennium Physician Group was founded in 2008. Its network includes more than 1,100 healthcare professionals in Florida, North Carolina, Georgia and Texas.

The Franciscan Alliance, which was founded in 1875, is a Catholic healthcare system with 11 hospitals. It employs more than 18,000 people.
