1st Source Bank earns SBA award

1st Source Bank recently received the U.S. Small Business Administration's Community Bank Gold Level Award.

This marks the 12th consecutive year the South Bend-based bank has earned the top award in the Community Lender category. The award focuses on community banks with headquarters in Indiana with less than $10 billion in assets. It recognizes 1st Source Bank for delivering the highest number of SBA loans in Indiana in 2024.

Ryan Bell, 1st Source Bank manager of small business banking, said the bank is honored to receive the award again.

“To be chosen consistently is a testament to 1st Source Bank’s unwavering commitment to supporting small businesses in our communities,” Bell said in a press release. “We have a dedicated team, and they are committed to living out our mission of helping our clients achieve security, build wealth and realize their dreams.”

1st Source Bank has received the honor since the award's inception in 2013.

“The Indiana District Office of the Small Business Administration is proud to recognize 1st Source Bank as our top Community Lender of the Year once again,” Stacey Poynter, SBA Indiana district director, said. “We recognize their dedication to assisting Indiana’s small businesses.”

1st Source operates 77 banking centers across northern Indiana and southwest Michigan. The bank was founded over 160 years ago. 1st Source Corp. is the parent company of 1st Source Bank.
