Centier Bank hires 3 new team members

Centier Bank recently welcomed Jerry Del Real, Sean Highsmith and Andy Santangelo.

Del Real will serve as investment executive. Highsmith will serve as branch manager. Santangelo will serve as director of treasury management.

Del Real will be responsible for assisting clients to help define and achieve their financial goals. He will work from Centier’s Merrillville office.

“I love meeting and helping serve clients right here in the community where my family and I live,” Del Real said in a press release. “I strongly believe in educating my clients and work diligently to help them set realistic goals, understand financial options and make informed decisions about portfolios.”

Del Real is a registered Investment Executive with experience in the investment industry since 2018 and the banking industry since 2008. He holds the Series 7 General Securities Representative Registration, Series 66 Uniform Combined State Law Registration and a Life & Health Insurance License.

Del Real attended Purdue University Northwest. He is also a coach for Seasons Soccer.

Highsmith will be responsible for overseeing Centier’s Whiting branch and fostering Centier’s relationship with the Whiting community.

Highsmith returns to Centier with over 15 years of management experience, serving in management positions at Heat Wagon and Walgreens. He was a traveling prime time banker at Centier from 2004 and 2008.

Highsmith earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from Carthage College. He looks forward to connecting with the Whiting community and joining local organizations.

Santangelo will be responsible for overseeing Centier’s treasury management department. Santangelo will work at Centier’s Corporate Centre in Merrillville.

“What I truly love about Centier is that there is a genuine desire to lift each other up and win as a team,” Santangelo said. “I am excited about the welcoming culture and bringing a deep knowledge of treasury management to help drive the business forward.”

Santangelo brings nearly 25 years of experience in treasury management to his new role. He most recently served as director of treasury management at Busey Bank.

Santangelo earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from Northern Illinois University. He is new to Indiana.
