Franciscan Health Crown Point receives recognition

Franciscan Health Crown Point is among the top 100 in the nation for major cardiac surgery and coronary bypass surgery.

The 2025 quality awards from CareChex are based on a scoring system. The system compares inpatient quality performance across general, acute and non-federal U.S. hospitals.

“I commend the Franciscan Health Crown Point cardiac surgery teams and cardiology service line for their work in earning this recognition,” said Dr. Daniel McCormick, Franciscan Health Crown Point president and CEO, in a press release. “Residents of the region should have extra peace of mind knowing this resource is available right in their own backyard at our new, state-of-the-art hospital.”

CareChex Awards are powered by the Bluebook Quantros Quality Outcomes Analytics Software. Bluebook Quantros provides software-based services for health care. CareChex awards do not include self-reported data.

CareChex also recognized other Franciscan Health hospitals in Indiana. Franciscan Health Layfette was among the top 100 in the nation for joint replacement. Franciscan Health Indianapolis was among the top 100 in the nation for interventional coronary care and bone marrow transplants.

The Franciscan Alliance health care system began in 1875 in Lafayette. Today, Franciscan Alliance has 12 hospital campuses and more than 19,000 employees. Franciscan Health operates facilities in Carmel, Crawfordsville, Crown Point, Dyer, Indianapolis, Lafayette, Michigan City, Mooresville, Munster, Rensselaer and Olympia Fields.
