Holladay Properties broke ground recently on a new 54,000-square-foot speculative facility in Michigan City.
The flex industrial building is designed for up to four tenants, with the possibility of up to 6,750 square-foot suites. The plan is to build eight docking bays and four doors for driving in. The base building will also have entrances for each tenant.
The site also will include LED lighting and a 6-inch reinforced concrete floor. Ceilings will reach 24 feet.
“We’re excited to contribute to the continued growth of Michigan City with this new industrial addition,” according to Holladay's Facebook page.
Construction of the Aldridge building is at 6101 Cleveland Ave. Delivery date is scheduled for October, according to LoopNet. It is next to the 64,000-square-foot Haskell building.
Holladay opened its first spec building in 1980 in South Bend. AmeriPlex at the Port broke ground in 2000, and AmeriPlex at the Crossroads in Merrillville in 2004.
Holladay Properties was founded in 1952 to build single-family homes for veterans. It now has eight locations.
