United Way Northwest Indiana is launching its Volunteer Resource Center — a digital hub to connect community members, businesses and nonprofits through service.

The new platform allows volunteers to browse and register for opportunities, track service hours and engage with causes across the Region.

“Our community is filled with people who want to make a difference but often don’t know where to start,” said Evelyn Harris, United Way Northwest Indiana director of volunteer services, in a press release. “The Resource Center breaks down barriers to engagement by giving volunteers and nonprofits a streamlined, accessible way to come together. Whether you have one hour or one day to give, there’s a place for you to make an impact.”

The Volunteer Resource Center also features corporate and group volunteer coordination tools. It allows nonprofit partners to post needs and recruit volunteers.

“This is a milestone for volunteerism in our Region,” Harris said. “We're excited to welcome every person and organization ready to roll up their sleeves and help build a better tomorrow.”

United Way Northwest Indiana is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving lives across Lake, Porter, Jasper, Newton and Starke counties.
