The chamber recognized the achievements of individuals and organizations that exemplify business leadership, entrepreneurship, volunteerism and community impact across Northwest Indiana.

Over 300 people attended the event. The ceremony saw a record-breaking number of nominees—nearly double that of last year.

“We are thrilled to see such an incredible turnout and an unprecedented number of nominations this year,” said Deann Patena, Crossroads Chamber president and CEO, in a press release. “This event is a testament to the strength and innovation of our local businesses and leaders, and we are proud to recognize their contributions.”

This year’s Business Excellence Awards winners included:

  • Rising Star: Spencer Summers, Northwest Indiana Forum
  • Young Entrepreneur: Chase Lowden, Chase Lowden Financial
  • Minority Business: Brown Family Ranch
  • Community Volunteer: Phil Griffith, The MAAC Foundation
  • Corporate Responsibility: Hard Rock Casino Northern Indiana
  • Non-Profit: Franciscan Health Foundation

The chamber also commemorated its 15-year anniversary. The event featured a tribute to past board chairs, honoring their dedication and leadership over the years.

“This year, it was really good to be in a position as the chairman to watch all of the nominees be recognized, as well as the winners of the categories, and be able to take pictures with them on behalf of the chamber,” John Jordan, Crosssroads Chamber board chairman, said.
