LAPORTE – LaPorte Cinema has closed after opening in 2009. The three-screen movie theater was operated by Neal O’Connor, who came on board earlier this year after acquiring the business from Cinemajestic.

O’Connor said a lack of customers led to the closing. He added that by living in California he was not able to pay as close attention to the business at it needed.
