MICHIGAN CITY – ThermoSafe Brands has announced it will close its manufacturing plant in the Michigan City Enterprise Center by the end of 2011, putting 100 people out of work.
Tegrant Inc. of DeKalb, Ill., which owns ThermoSafe, recently completed an evaluation of the “company’s footprint” with a view to making its production for efficient, said Greg Sipla, executive vice president.
ThermoSafe manufactures foam products used most in the automotive industry.
